Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Introduction Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) has become a basic element in the recovery patients with acute coronary syndrome, since it achieves greater therapeutic adherence and better control cardiovascular risk factors. Purpose We aim to describe characteristics ST-elevation syndrome (STEACS) included program, as well achievement prevention objectives occurrence mayor adverse events (MACE). Methods Observational prospective study where total 664 STEMI admitted Coronary Unit during years 2017-2020 were included. They classified according their participation CR program. compared medical history, lipid-lowering treatment (prior, at discharge titration), lipid levels 1-year follow-up, degree targets. MACE (mortality, reinfarction, revascularisation restenosis) observed 2-year follow-up. Results From patients, 351 excluded due lack follow-up or early mortality. 313 (mean age 59.9±11.2 years; 81% male), 55.3% This group had lower mean (55.46±8.7 vs 65.39±11.5, P<0.001), higher frequency ischaemic heart disease history smoking, hypertension diabetes (Table). Lipid-lowering was similar both groups. In undergoing CR, there level cholesterol low-density lipoprotein (LDLc) one year (126.2±27 137.2±34, P=0.002; 57.8±23 67.5±26, P<0.001) reduction LDLc (41.4% 20.86%, achieved even from initial values. Titration also greater, old target LDLc<70 being number cases (81.5% 59.3%, P<0.001). At new (LDLc<55 + 50% reduction) only 26.8% (34.1% 17.9%; P=0.02). Although differences terms mortality events, favor group, these did not reach statistical significance. Conclusions Participation program is associated for STEACS. These programmes represent tool achieving factor targets improved long-term clinical outcomes.

Vitamin D deficiency predicts the ST elevation type of myocardial infarction in patients with acute coronary syndrome.

According to studies, a significant association exists between the low levels of vitamin D and cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction (MI). In a prospective, case control study, 88 patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) including ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and Non-STEMI were enrolled. The plasma level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D[25(OH)D] was obtained at the time ...

Can GRACE Risk Score Predict the Coronary Anatomy in Non-ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome?

Methods: We evaluated 95 patient data retrospectively who were hospitalized with a diagnosis of non-ST elevation ACS between 2005-2006 at the Istanbul University Cardiology Institute. All the patients’ GRACE risk scores were calculated and coronary angiograms were re-analysed. We further divided the patients into three groups according to risk score (Low risk score: <108, medium risk score: 109...
